About Us

You know that “thing” that you have stuck in the back of your mind and somehow, someday you would really like to do?  Well, after “launching” the last of our children, we realized that we had the time and space to take that “thing” from the back of our minds and make it happen.  In 2004, after years of stealing spare moments to craft christening outfits, children’s clothes, prom gowns, wedding dresses, gifts, and other "orders" my family and friends created, we took the next big step.  My husband and I converted the second floor of our home to “Crooked Nail Creations” (named for my husband who pounded an awful lot of nails!).  The next year, we purchased our first 16-needle commercial embroidery machine, and I left the “office” to devote my full attention to a dream that was fast becoming a reality.

As a small family owned and operated business we are committed to giving our customers the time and attention that we would like to receive ourselves.  Your order is as individual and personal to us as it is to you, and we promise to provide high-quality personalized service no matter how big or small your order.

Of course, I still enjoy creating most anything. If asked to make another deep purple and pumpkin orange prom gown, I will!  This “stay at home” grandma is loving the memories that are created everyday and enjoys helping other families and friends put a smile on someone's face while creating and preserving memories of their own.

Today's treasures are tomorrow's heirlooms.
